    I saw your reply to my other comment about that type of pole that I saw at a club that rocks back and forth like a video game joystick. I don’t think it was a spinning pole, but it ‘whipped’ back and forth at its base. The dancing/acrobatics I saw for it was a unique style, the performer actually twisted over THE TOP of it, which is something that would be impossible with a regular pole, since this pole was very short, maybe 5 ft tall? And it was very thin, maybe 30mm or 35mm. I can’t find anything online about it, it might be a specialty thing that was custom made? But the dancer new it well. The closest thing online to it that I could find was an arial ‘flying’ pole. However this pole was firmly anchored to the ground. The defining trait was that it ‘wobbled’ or ‘whipped’ back and forth like a video game joystick, if you’ve ever played a video game. Have you ever heard or seen of such a thing? Could you look into it? I’ve tried to but couldn’t find much. I’m desperate because I KNOW I’m not going insane lol 😂

    Have you heard of this type of pole, you might not consider it a ‘real’ pole because you can’t do these types of tricks in it, but I think it’s called a ‘swivel pole’ and they are usually in the center of tables in certain ‘clubs’. They are only 5 or 6 feet tall, and they swivel because of a ball bearing at their base, like a joystick . I don’t think they can support the full weight of a body, and I think performers use them as a tool to do ground work or twe rking around, and as an aid to get up. I also think they use them to do ‘pole vaulting’ type moves,(because of their swiveling capability ), similar to Olympic pole vaulting (lol), but on a much smaller scale obviously and with somersaulting and fan kicking as they do it. Do you know of any tutorials on how to do these ‘vaulting’ type moves on this type of pole?

    0:28 What position is that?? lol. I often find while transitioning from one position to another, those in-between positions you must contort your body into temporarily in order to transition from one position to another, are very pretty in-and-of themselves if you were to freeze and spin with them! and since they can be all kinds of crazy shapes, there is most likely no name for them, so its a great opportunity to 'discover' a new pole move that you get to name!

    There is this one type of ‘pole’, (I don’t think you would consider it a ‘real’ pole for these kind of moves), that is commonly used in ‘clubs’, mainly on circular tables: They are short, about 5 or 6 feet tall, and they are fairly thin, I don’t think they could support the full weight of a body. They swivel on a ball bearing at the base of it, kind of like a joystick. (I think they are called ‘swivel poles’?), and the performers primarily do ground work around them, only using the pole itself to twerk on, or to help them get up, and at most sometimes they use it to somersault ‘vault’, like an Olympic pole vaulter but with a somersault or fan kick while doing it, because the poles swivel on a ball bearing at their base, like a joystick. Do you know of any lessons on how to use this style of pole and learn how to do these ‘vaulting’ moves?

    • @PoleFreaks
      @PoleFreaks Месяц назад

      @@tilltanky5367 I think you’re talking about spin pole 😀

    • @tilltanky5367
      @tilltanky5367 Месяц назад

      @@PoleFreaks no, these pole don’t spin, rather they ‘whip’ back and and forth because they are flexible and have a big ball at their base so they move like a joystick. Clubs are lightyears ahead of studios technologically lol, they have all kinds of pole variations that studios don’t have, like motorized spinning poles, spinning platform poles where the platform also spins, so that if there is a move that requires a foot on the ground, you can still spin with it. And the pole I mentioned that ‘whips’ back and forth like a video game controller joystick…

    There is a pole move very similar to ‘pike’, but both straight legs that are clasped next to each other are vertical up against the pole rather than sideways. Kinda like a violator/wrist seat without the wrist underneath/teddy/boomerang but with the straight legs paired next to each other, vertical against the pole.
